ROGUES OF SCOTLAND
at
SCARBOROUGH 2002
"The Rogues of Scotland" (AKA "The Scottish Rogues" AKA "The Rogues") have to be my all-time favorite bagpipe band! With their mix of skirling bagpipes and pounding bodhrans, I can always count on them for a lively, high-energy performance wherever they go. Alas, they no longer play the nearby Texas Renaissance Festival -- so it was off to Scarborough this year in order to enjoy their music once again (Photo, Below).

Arriving early for their first performance of the afternoon, I caught this "littlest Faerie" watching -- shyly, but with rapt attention -- as one of the Rogues' bodhran players tuned his instrument before the show. She was just TOO cute for words (Photo, Left)!
She definitely wasn't shy once the music started -- which also encouraged another young friend to join her on stage (Photo, Above)! But then, who could blame them? Hey, when The Rogues cut loose, it's difficult keeping your seat, much less stopping your toes from tapping!!!
It wasn't just the wee ones who were captivated by the Rogues. Once the music started, both patrons and players alike were dancing in the aisles (Photo, Left)...
And on the Green, next to the Gypsy Stage (Photo, Below)...
